    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced the imminent launch of electronic registration on residential lands. 
    The Director General of Housing in the Ministry, Haider Al-Mayali, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities has ambitious plans in the issue of housing, and there is a careful study and monitoring of the need in the various governorates of the country, and coordination is underway with the governors and municipal departments to allocate land and there are initiatives To implement a low-cost role, as well as the issue of housing will be present in all international agreements, especially the Iraqi-Egyptian agreement that took place at the last tripartite summit in Baghdad. 
    Al-Mayali added, "The government is striving to provide funds as well as to solve the housing crisis by providing serviced lands to new cities." 
    He pointed out that "we are about to launch the registration campaign on these lands, after the basic building blocks have been laid and the designs approved, so the date for launching the electronic registration on residential lands is soon." 
    Al-Mayali added that "the lands that will be distributed will be serviced and will include all social strata without exception, and therefore will reach the most deserving, and we hope that it will contribute to addressing the housing crisis."
    And Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced earlier, during an interview with Al-Iraqiya news channel, that he had developed a plan to distribute 500,000 plots of land to citizens.
    He explained that "the targets of distributing plots of land are the families of the martyrs first, the poor segments, the security services, the Popular Mobilization, the Anti-Terrorism Service, and journalists," explaining, "We will announce via a website to apply for the lands, and we will set the determinants of the eligible segments and according to the points collected, the applicants will obtain a plot of land, some of which will be served by streets and other services.
    He stressed that he will personally follow up the team responsible for distributing land and the team responsible for designing the website, and it will be a different experience from the rest of the experiments, and its details will be announced in full transparency, and the distribution will include the whole of Iraq.
