    [size=45]Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani "strongly" condemned the attack on the Iraqi army in Diyala, stressing his agreement with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to intensify coordination to confront ISIS.[/size]
    [size=45]And a statement issued by the Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government on Friday, January 21, 2022, stated that Masrour Barzani “strongly condemned, during a telephone conversation with Federal Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the terrorist attack launched by ISIS terrorists on the Iraqi army in Diyala Governorate.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region expressed his "condemnation of the terrorist attack", expressing his "condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims in the martyrdom of 11 Iraqi soldiers as a result of the terrorist attack of ISIS."[/size]
    [size=45]Masrour Barzani and Mustafa Al-Kazemi agreed to "intensify and strengthen coordination to confront the threats and dangers of ISIS terrorists," according to the statement.[/size]
    [size=45]Earlier, the United Nations mission in Iraq "UNAMI" confirmed that the "terrorist attack" in Diyala was a "painful reminder that ISIS continues to pose a threat."[/size]
    [size=45]The mission said in a tweet on the Twitter platform on Friday, January 21, 2022: "The terrorist attack in Diyala, which killed Iraqi soldiers and wounded others, is a painful reminder that ISIS (ISIS) still poses a threat."[/size]

    [size=45]The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed the opening of an “urgent” investigation into the attack on the Iraqi army in Diyala, while ordering the implementation of “major” operations against ISIS.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Yahya Rasoul, said in a statement issued by the Rudaw Media Network, a copy of which was received on Friday, January 21, 2022, that Al-Kazemi “directed an urgent investigation into the terrorist incident that resulted in the killing of 11 fighters, including an officer from the First Company in The 2nd Infantry Brigade of the 1st Division of the Iraqi Army in the Umm Al-Karami area in Al-Azim district in Diyala Governorate.[/size]
    [size=45]Rasool reported that Al-Kazemi ordered to adhere to "the highest levels of preparedness to defeat the plans of terrorist groups, to carry out major operations in areas used by ISIS terrorist gangs, and to move quickly to inflict just retribution against the terrorists who committed this cowardly act and pursue them wherever they are."[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister stressed that "these cowardly terrorist acts will increase our armed forces' determination to pursue pockets of malicious terrorist gangs and eradicate their remnants from everywhere on the land of Iraq."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Kazemi said in a tweet on the Twitter platform: "The terrorist crime committed against our sons from the army in Diyala Governorate, will not pass without decisive punishment."[/size]
    [size=45]"Our forces will have a resounding response against the murderous terrorists," he added, urging the armed forces to "prevent the recurrence of these violations and pursue terrorists everywhere, for the sake of Iraq and the Iraqis."[/size]
