On Monday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee linked the return of those whose contracts had been terminated by members of the security forces to approving the budget law for the next year.
Committee member Intisar al-Maliki said, in a statement followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the return of their nullified contracts is linked to the budget law for the year 2023," noting that "the committee is serious about fairness to this segment."
Al-Maliki pointed out, "there is a financial surplus in the budget, but it cannot be exchanged."
And Al-Maliki continued, "All the requirements for the return of their nullified contracts are complete, and all they are waiting for is the approval of the budget law."
