    The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed, on Friday, that Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani has formed a special committee to examine and inspect agricultural fertilizers and verify the levels of radiation in them. 
    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mahdi Sahar al-Jubouri, said, "The government pays special attention to supporting the agricultural sector and has made it one of its priorities," noting that "the cultivation plan for the winter season has been approved, and it is directed towards increasing the cultivated areas with groundwater, and the use of modern irrigation technologies (fixed and pivot sprinklers) for crops." agricultural, including wheat and barley, and raising the subsidy rates for fertilizers from 35 to 50% and subsidizing seeds from 50 to 70% to reduce the purchase of agricultural inputs and production costs, and increase farm income in order to encourage farmers to invest optimally in agricultural lands and move towards cultivating lands with high productivity. 
    Regarding al-Dab fertilizer, al-Jubouri affirmed that "a committee was assigned by Prime Minister Muhammad Shi'a al-Sudani and specialists to examine and inspect the fertilizers, verify the levels of radiation in them, and find out the extent to which they are used for agriculture or not," pointing out that "the ministry is awaiting the results of the specialized committee."
