Baghdad-Iraq today:
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Sajjad Salem, revealed the latest developments in approving the general budget, while indicating that it is still in the cabinet.
Salem said in a press interview that “the general budget is still in the corridors of the Council of Ministers in order to complete the addition of all the necessary paragraphs after discussing them,” noting that “the budget is approved in two phases, the first by the Council of Ministers, while the second will be under the dome of Parliament.”
He added, "The government is working to hold talks with the region in order to organize all matters in order not to repeat the problems of the previous stage, most notably oil with the region," noting, "The need for the foundations of the financial relationship between the central government and the Kurdistan region and the provinces to be clear to achieve transparency.”
And he continued, "The budget will be sent after the parliament resumes its sessions after a month, that is, the date of the end of the legislative recess."
