The Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, issued a directive obliging the companies implementing the projects of the province to double the working hours.
The governor said in a statement, "The directives of the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and the decisions of the Supreme Coordinating Authority for the governorates were reviewed, and an emphasis was placed on the adoption and implementation of those directives by state departments, with regard to providing services to citizens and dealing with high transparency."
Al-Atta indicated, "The companies executing the Baghdad governorate projects have been instructed to redouble their efforts and work 24 hours a day, that is, with (3) periods or two, in order to maintain the momentum of work on service projects and not allow any disruption or delay."
