On Tuesday, the representative of the coordination framework, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, denied that the framework made any political concessions in order to pass the parliamentary elections law, indicating that the elections law is implemented from the date of voting on it in Parliament.
Al-Moussawi said in a televised interview, followed by Al-Maalouma, that "the coordination framework has the supreme word in Parliament, and we passed the election law without conceding any issue," stressing that "voting on the election law in exchange for approving the general amnesty law is untrue."
He added, "The election law is implemented from the date of voting on it in Parliament, and the issue of the 'Christian quota' in which there was injustice to the Christian brothers has been avoided."
He pointed out that "voting on the election law does not mean a break with the independents, and that the position of the independent political forces took them away from seeing the coordination framework because of their short experience." End25
