The Parliamentary Integrity Committee is heading to open the file of state real estate that was sold directly or by auction, and even the tenant of it, while the Ministry of Justice confirmed that it is close to completing the automation of all the departments associated with it. A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Sarwa Abdel Wahed, said: The committee "asked the State Real Estate Department to provide it with all the first properties that were sold, whether by auction or directly, as well as rented real estate and rental values for these entities." Abdel Wahed added in an interview with "Al-Sabah" that she "received information recorded via a CD from the Real Estate Department, and the committee is in the process of following up on how to distribute these real estate through sale and rent," noting that the committee "will take a position regarding any violating party that bought or rented a property owned by the state." contraryly."
She explained that she has "confirmed information and documents proving the seizure of real estate by some parties in Baghdad and in the provinces outside the state's authority, in addition to renting some real estate illegally at very nominal prices, and that is why we opened this file."
For his part, a spokesman for the Ministry of Justice, Kamel Amin, said: "The automation process is installed in the government program and includes all institutions, especially the justice departments, and there are timetables for the completion process," pointing out that "work is continuing with the concerned companies after our contract in the previous government with the Ministry of Industry." to introduce automation in the real estate registration department, and the project has reached its final stages. And Amin continued, in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that "the first phase will start soon, and it will be circulated to all regions of Iraq during the coming periods in the departments of notaries, especially the breast health process," noting that "the Ministries of Justice and Foreign Affairs have ratified the (ICAS) system, which is a system For the validity of the breasts that are presented to 93 Iraqi diplomatic missions in the world, and the system will also include new agencies and life certificates.
A spokesperson for Justice stated, "Technical teams are working on automating real estate registration / technical teams with the participation of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and with the follow-up of the Prime Minister's Office to start the actual implementation processes through an electronic form that is tested more than once to discover all the challenges facing the process."
And he indicated that "one of the reasons that called for automation is the elimination of bribery and extortion, but the biggest challenge is the connection of the Real Estate Registration Department with a number of departments, including income tax, municipality, electricity and water, which are departments from which extortion sometimes begins, not real estate registration."
