In this economic pattern, the "Sama Sawa" Construction Industries Company signed a contract with the Chinese "Sinoma" company to build a cement factory in Al-Muthanna Governorate, southern Iraq, with production quantities of 7,000 tons per day, at an annual rate of 2 million tons of high-grade cement product. Quality according to the latest international standards.
    Where the managing director of the Sama Samawah Company for Construction Industries, Taha Mashat, told "Baghdad Today" that "the Chinese company will implement the project to build the factory, as it is one of the best Chinese companies to establish cement factories in the world, as the value of the contract to establish the factory is $200 million with a period of time ranging from 18-18 months." 20 months," adding, "the number of workers in the factory will reach 500 people, all of whom are Iraqis."
    For his part, the director of the Chinese company, "Wank Wan Hank," said, "This project will open the door for investment for the company in Iraq through the cement factory, and the factory will have a high production capacity of two million tons annually," noting that "Sinoma Company will establish the factory, provided that it is ready and will enter the line of work and production in the year 2025.
    Restoring life
    For his part, economic researcher Haider al-Rubaie stresses the necessity of activating the role of the Iraqi private sector to advance the industrial sector.
    He said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "Iraq's current need for cement is now estimated at (21) million tons annually," noting that "local cement factories in both the public and private sectors are able to fill a large part of it if appropriate solutions are found." problems facing the industry.
    He describes the experience of partnership with the private sector as "successful" to restore life to the Iraqi industry.
    Iraq owns approximately (22) cement production plants in both public and private sectors, with a total design capacity of about (30) million tons annually, as these factories are able to reach their design capacities in the event that the operational conditions of the factories such as electric power and fuel are available and the laws for protecting the national product are applied.
