The Iraqi General Company for Cement, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has re-operated its Muthanna cement plant by self-effort.
A statement by the ministry, read by "Economy News", that "the general manager of the company Engineer Hussein Mohsen Khafaji announced the return of cement plant Muthanna to the former after the termination of the investment contract with the investor to the plant because of its delay in meeting the terms of the contract and causing damage and decline in the work of the plant, That the plants of the plant was able to run by self-help through rehabilitation of the affected parts because of the possessions of engineering, technical and administrative capabilities to enable them to promote the reality of the plant and upgrading it.
He pointed out that "Al-Muthanna cement plant is continuing to supply cement materials with the usual types, resistant and fluorine, to companies, state departments and citizens with high quality and quality at prices not exceeding 65 thousand dinars per ton."
