    A statement by the Iraqi government stated, "Within the framework of the fraternal relations that unite the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url] and the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47637/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%85%D9%84%D9%83%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B1%D8%AF%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87%D8%A7%D8%B4%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan[/url], and an affirmation of the depth of historical relations between the two brotherly peoples, and to enhance means of cooperation and increase coordination mechanisms within the economic, commercial, industrial, security and other fields, and to upgrade joint efforts and in pursuit of strategic integration between the two countries, a meeting was held between Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url], with Bishr Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Hashemite Queen of Jordan."


     
    The two sides affirmed, according to the statement, "the strength and strategy of the historical and solid brotherly relationship, which binds the two brotherly countries, which constitutes a unique model of solid brotherhood based on respect and congruence of points of view and aspiration for more cooperation and joint coordination to deal with all challenges and the common desire to develop and strengthen bilateral relations towards wider and broader horizons, to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries."
     
    Jordan affirmed "the importance of Iraq and its security as a fundamental pillar of the region, and its support for the Iraqi government's efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people after the historic victory achieved by brotherly Iraq over terrorist gangs." Jordan also affirmed "its absolute support for brotherly Iraq in these efforts."
     
    The two sides discussed "many Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, and efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis," and affirmed "the continuation of work, coordination and consultation in their efforts to resolve regional crises and serve Arab issues and interests, in order to achieve security and stability in the region."
     
    The two sides stressed "the condemnation of the repeated practices of burning the Holy Qur'an, which have aroused the ire and feelings of Muslims all over the world, calling on states to respect the feelings and sanctities of others and calling on states to assume their responsibilities in confronting all abusive acts that fuel feelings of hatred and racism."
     
    Iraq stressed "the importance of the historical Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy places in the city of Jerusalem, and its role in protecting these holy sites and preserving their Arab, Islamic and Christian identity and the existing legal and historical status in them."
     
    The discussions focused on "mechanisms for promoting the volume of trade exchange, the importance of expanding horizons of joint cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields, and supporting the role of the private sector in increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in the fields of industry, energy, investment, transport, agriculture, the environment, and the fields of health and education, for the benefit of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples."
     
    The two sides concluded, "emphasizing the importance of overcoming the obstacles that stand in the way of upgrading the level of bilateral relations, and the need for joint action towards developing economic and trade relations, as a basic pillar supporting these relations."
     
    The statement referred to "emphasizing the importance of implementing what was agreed upon during the meetings of the (29th) session of the Iraqi-Jordanian joint committee and the documents that were signed at the end of its work."
     
    The tripartite framework included an emphasis on "taking the necessary measures to implement the outcomes of the Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian tripartite summits, the last of which was held in Baghdad on 6/27/2021, the most important of which is the implementation of projects and the creation of partnerships concerned with achieving maximum benefit from the memorandum of understanding for industrial integration (Iraqi, Jordanian, Egyptian) that entered into force in the three countries."
     
    The two sides reviewed "the latest developments and developments, regarding the progress of work in the joint economic city project, and urged the Iraqi-Jordanian Company for Industry, which is equally owned by the Iraqi and Jordanian governments and charged with implementing the Economic City project, to continue work at an escalating pace to start implementing the project on the ground according to the specified timetable."

    The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the field of energy and reviewing the measures taken by the two countries to complete the electrical interconnection project. The first phase: (supplying the Rutba region on the Iraqi side at a voltage of 132 kV), and the second phase: (supplying the Qaim region on the Iraqi side at a voltage of 400 kV), with an emphasis on making all efforts to complete the interconnection process according to the specified schedule.

     
    The latest developments regarding the extension of a pipeline to export Iraqi oil through the territory of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47637/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%85%D9%84%D9%83%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B1%D8%AF%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87%D8%A7%D8%B4%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan[/url] from the port of Aqaba, as an additional outlet for exporting Iraqi oil through Jordanian territory, and welcoming the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding to supply the Jordanian side with Iraqi oil and studying the possibility of increasing the amount of oil supplied, according to technical and logistical capabilities, were also discussed.

    It was also agreed to facilitate the procedures for granting entry visas through the embassies of the two countries as soon as possible, and to stress the importance of raising the level of food security, enhancing food integration and increasing the strategic stock of strategic commodities in the two countries.

     
    In the health field, the two sides stressed "the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in all aspects of health and pharmaceutical cooperation, including the mutual registration of medicines between the two countries and facilitating the registration of Iraqi medicines in Jordan. The two sides also agreed on mutual recognition of national medical fellowships in both countries."
     
    In the field of promoting and supporting investment, "the two sides reviewed the investment environment in the two countries and agreed to form a joint Iraqi-Jordanian working group concerned with investment affairs with the aim of facilitating the investors from both sides and accelerating the procedures related to their investments in both countries."
     
    In the field of transport, the two sides stressed "the importance of the transport sector in the two countries, as a catalyst mainly in supporting economic growth, creating job opportunities and urging those concerned in the field of transport in the two countries to intensify communication and permanently to solve all the limited problems facing the sector in the two countries." Iraqi economic development projects were also reviewed, such as the Basra project, the economic [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47586/%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%B5%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]capital of Iraq[/url], and the Iraqi development road project and the level of progress achieved in them.
