Start of the first meeting of the joint working group (Iraqi - Jordanian)
The first meeting of the Joint Working Group was held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jordanian Expatriates Affairs for a round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its French counterpart headed by Ambassador Zeid Al-Lozi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jordanian Expatriates Affairs and Iraqi Ambassador Nizar Khairallah.
The meeting came in implementation of the terms of the memorandum of understanding between the two countries on bilateral political and technical consultation.
The meeting of the working group follows up on the outcome of King Abdullah II's visit to Iraq in mid-January and the visit of President Barham Saleh to Jordan in mid-November last year.
The meeting discussed issues of common interest and exchanged views on them in a manner that contributes to enhancing bilateral relations at the political, economic and security levels between the two countries, enhancing trade, economic and investment exchanges, facilitating cross-border movement and cooperation in consular and legal issues.
