Today, Wednesday, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Haider Al-Lami, explained how America is violating the security agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington regarding its military bases, while targeting these bases is “normal.”
Al-Lami said, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, that “the presence of American bases in Iraq came within the Sufa Security Agreement, which was signed in 2011, and some points were renewed in 2014, after ISIS entered Iraq,” indicating that “these bases, according to the agreement, are To preserve the country’s national security and American interests in the region.”
He added, "There is a point in the agreement that focuses on the necessity of not exploiting the bases to attack neighboring countries and harm the region in any way. However, Washington has supplied the Israeli entity with its war on Gaza, and this is contrary to the presence of American bases in Iraq, such as Ain al-Asad and Al-Harir," stressing that " "America is the one who broke the laws."
The leader of the State of Law explained that “American aid to the entity was clearly mentioned by the official of the American forces in the Middle East, Coral, in Tel Aviv, when he confirmed that he had sent 2,000 fighters from the Ain al-Assad base to Tel Aviv,” indicating that “these soldiers are experts in the issue of combat.” The streets, against the backdrop of their fighting in the Battle of Fallujah and other areas in Iraq.”
He stated, "The Islamic resistance in Iraq's targeting of American bases came as a result of its use of aggression against one of the countries neighboring the country," adding, "It is not possible for the American administration to use Iraqi territory as a launching pad to attack its neighbors."
Last Wednesday, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for targeting the American bases in Ain al-Assad and Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan, while the American forces vowed more operations, stressing that they would not stand by and watch the genocide taking place against the Palestinians in Gaza. Ended/25 Rs
