The head of the New Generation Parliamentary Bloc, Sarwa Abdul Wahed, confirmed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party did not withdraw from the regional parliament elections and only threatened in its statements, pointing out that if the elections were postponed, the judiciary would be our adversary.
Abdel Wahed said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News: “Freedom of expression in the capital, Baghdad, is more open than freedom of expression within the region, noting that the regional authorities prevented activist Mama Korda from being released on bail.”
She added, "If the regional parliament elections are postponed, we will resort to the judiciary and consider the Kurdistan government illegitimate."
Abdul Wahed pointed out that "the ruling parties in the region are working to attack anyone who attacks their personal interests."
