    Baghdad/
The head of the Erada bloc in the House of Representatives, Hussein Arab, expected today, Saturday, that political alliances will collapse after the results of the elections scheduled for October 10 appear, while he saw that 8 coalitions out of 140 alliances will remain.
Arab said in a press statement, "The large number of political alliances does not mean its continuation in the political process," noting that "there are alliances that will soon end with the end of the elections, because the form of alliances usually changes after the elections."
He added that, "according to the election law, no winning member is allowed to leave alliances until the formation of the government," adding, "It is not possible for alliances to be scattered during the government formation process or the first session of the House of Representatives."
Arabs expected "the collapse of some alliances after the formation of the next government, and some of them will be dissatisfied with voting on the government in Parliament."
He believed that "140 coalitions will remain, including 7 to 8 coalitions that have wide chances of winning the upcoming elections."
Arabs called “citizens to broadly participate in elections for the sake of change,” stressing “the importance of creating political awareness to educate citizens in order for there to be a proper change.”
In previous statements, the Election Commission announced that the election date on October 10 is "inevitable and irreversible," and that it authorized the establishment of 253 political parties, and that 11 coalitions expressed their desire to participate in the upcoming elections out of 32 coalitions approved by the commission, and 12 Alliance is under registration.
