    [ltr]Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, on Monday, the Vatican to encourage Iraqi Christians to stay in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Foreign Ministry said in a statement received / balances News / copy of it, "Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari met with Vatican Secretary of State Paul Richard Gallagher, During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and the emphasis on consolidation in addition to discussing regional issues and international issues of common interest."[/ltr]
    [ltr]He said al-Jaafari, according to the statement, that "the war on terror is a war of all religions because they are all targeted, without exception, all of our duty to preserve the lives of people and spread peace, and security," stressing that "the Christian component is an essential component in Iraq."[/ltr]
    [ltr]He called on the Vatican to "encourage Iraqi Christians to stay in Iraq," directed "the invitation to his counterpart to visit Iraq."[/ltr]
    [ltr]Separately, al-Jaafari, said that "we send out the message to the world that we do not want military ground forces, but we want moral support, and Khaddmaa, and humanly to preserve human dignity, cover air, and we need to further cooperation in international activities."[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, Gallagher "his country's support for Iraq in maintaining its unity, and the need to achieve peace and security in the whole country," calling on the international community to "work to resolve the crises in the world, and end the state of tension and improve relations between the countries" .anthy 29/9 P[/ltr]

    Separately, al-Jaafari, said that "we send out the message to the world that we do not want military ground forces, but we want moral support, and Khaddmaa, and humanly to preserve human dignity, cover air, and we need to further cooperation in international activities."

    Maybe if they have any proven track record of the ability to protect these people ground troops would not be necessary, however up to this point that has not been the case.
