Pentagon: NATO poses no threat to Russia
BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
US Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, said he does not understand what calls for Russia to deal with NATO as a threat to its security, he said in a television interview with "CBS".
According to the interview, "currently, it should be linked to Russia's future in Europe. Why Russians see NATO threat? - This is bigger than Astieba. It is clear that NATO is not a threat. "
He continued, "Russia understands that the alliance does not threaten its security, but they still prefer to set up strategic hostility to NATO for several reasons .. everything is that NATO is not a threat to the Russians and they know it and do not complain about it."
