Hanging bridge inaugurated in Basra province

Basra/ Iraq TradeLink: A new hanging bridge was inaugurated over Shatt-al-Arab waterway after three years and a half of work.
The bridge, similar to Turkish Bosphorous bridge, costed 70 million dollars, which is regarded the biggest in Iraq.
The length of the bridge reached to 1460 meters and width of 22 meters and height of 35 meters.
Big vessels can cross under the bridge.
It was supposed that the bridge should be completed in two years, but obstacles delayed the implementation, but it is regarded as one of the major projects done in the province.
