Iraqis occupy first place in Turkey's largest real estate buyer list

According to statistical data from Turkey, the Iraqis led the real estate market in Turkey occupying first place and advanced on the Saudis, Iranians and Kuwaitis in terms of buying foreigners for real estate in Turkey last April.
According to data released by the Turkish Statistics Agency, "Iraqis topped the list of purchase of real estate by buying 337 properties, while the Saudis came second with 252 properties, then the Iranians bought 138 properties, while the Kuwaitis bought 116 properties in April, ranking fourth and finally the Afghans 112 properties."
"The total number of real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey during the last month amounted to 2043 registered properties, an increase of 25.8 percent compared to the same period of 2017," she said.
"The city of Istanbul was the most Turkish city selling real estate to foreigners in April, the number of properties sold 676 properties followed by (Antalya) with 475 properties and then (bourse) 150 properties and (Trabzon) 143 properties and (Yalawa) 113 properties.
In terms of real estate sales in Turkey in general, the data showed that it recorded a decline during the last month by 9.9 percent compared to the same month last year, with the sale of 10,3087 properties throughout Turkey.
Istanbul ranked first among the most selling Turkish real estate in April, with sales of 17414 properties followed by Ankara with 10,352 properties and then Izmir with 6,418 properties, while the city of Hakkari was at the bottom of the list with sales of six properties.
