Al-Halbousi's office said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter "received the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim and the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim at the headquarters of the Iraqi embassy in Cairo, on the sidelines of the 32nd conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union."
The meeting discussed, according to the statement, "the political, security and regional situations in the region, stressing the need for coordination and unifying positions in Arab, Islamic and international forums."
