, the Municipality of Baghdad announced, on Monday, the return of 640 properties belonging to it, valued at billions.
The secretariat stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "the Diwani Order Committee 50 of 2019 returned (640) properties belonging to the secretariat."
And she indicated that she "expresses her thanks and appreciation to all the parties that sought to recover these properties, especially the committee that includes the Office of Financial Supervision and members of the Integrity Commission."
She pointed out that "the aforementioned committee is still continuing its work to investigate and scrutinize secretly and in a very accurate manner for other properties to be returned to the Municipality of Baghdad."
She explained that "the committee formed by the Council of Ministers has returned to the Municipality of Baghdad (1,157) properties so far, as part of exceptional efforts and a high level of professionalism in order to preserve public money." Ended 29/R77
