[rtl]Basra / NINA / - The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Basra called for an urgent meeting of all members of the House of Representatives representing the governorate and the local government, in the presence of the Minister of Water Resources, to take real urgent decisions regarding the dangerous reality of water next summer.
The office stated, according to a statement, "According to the dangerous readings of the water reality next summer, with the start of high salt levels in the Shatt al-Arab waters, and the dangerous water storage index for Iraq, it is required not to deal with Basra with (summer promises) that it will end in winter from all governments, from the first water crisis in it to the worst year in 2018. More than 131,000 poisoning cases were monitored, and the statement indicated that the residents of the
governorate had only access to salty polluted water, with disastrous numbers of cancerous injuries./ End[/rtl]
