The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, is visiting Basra Governorate to attend the (Iraq Climate) conference to discuss and address climate change in Iraq.
Basra Governorate will host the (Iraq Climate Conference), which will be held over the next Sunday and Monday (12-13) of this March, with wide international, governmental and trade union participation, and under the auspices and presence of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani.

The conference will discuss the causes, influences and impacts of climate change on Iraq and discuss ways to address the phenomena resulting from that change, foremost of which is the expansion of desertification, water scarcity and environmental damage.
The convening of the conference comes within the implementation of the priorities of the government program and its endeavors to find sustainable solutions to limit and mitigate climate changes that have made Iraq the most affected.
