    [size=45]Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani said that 9% of Iraqis live in slums, and he talked about the damages of granting plots of land to build complexes within cities.[/size]
    [size=45]"The housing problem in Iraq is chronic and has stalled since the eighties of the last century," Al-Sudani said in a speech on the occasion of the inauguration of a housing project.[/size]
    [size=45]He continued, "The current government has put the housing crisis as a priority," noting that "9% live in slums, according to the Ministry of Planning."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani pointed out that “the housing crisis is real and is now affecting society,” stressing that “the housing sector is one of the most sectors that generates job opportunities.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stressed that "solving the housing crisis means going to build factories for construction materials," and talked about "a vision in arranging priorities and reasons for solving the housing problem."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani reported, “The trend towards building residential cities outside city centers,” and he believed that “granting lands to build complexes inside cities will show its negative aspects in the future.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "working on activating special initiatives, and we will work on constructing roads before starting to build residential cities," explaining that "the Ali Al-Wardi residential city will include 70,000 units."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani went on to say that “the housing units will be divided equally between the citizen and the state, and without facilitating procedures for investors, the projects will remain a dead letter.”[/size]
