On Monday, the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, decided to withdraw the hand of a number of employees suspected of corruption.
A statement by the Ministry of Education, received by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that “Education Minister Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri launched a campaign to screen all the joints and institutions of the ministry, against the background of obstructing citizens’ transactions,” noting that “the campaign included the transfer of more than 10 employees.”
He added, "Al-Jubouri decided to withdraw the hand of school building directors in the first Rusafa and Basra with a group of employees and refer the General Directorate of Education in the first Rusafa and Basra to an urgent investigation, after many complaints were received by his office in cooperation with the oversight authorities."
The Minister of Education affirmed that he "will not back down from fighting corruption in the ministry until the last place of bribery is eliminated."
He added, "Al-Jubouri decided to withdraw the hand of school building directors in the first Rusafa and Basra with a group of employees and refer the General Directorate of Education in the first Rusafa and Basra to an urgent investigation, after many complaints were received by his office in cooperation with the oversight authorities."
