Jaafar pointed to "the presence of US and regional pressure to find a state of balance and not to escalate , " pointing out that "stiffening Iraqi - Saudi relations have negatively impacted on security in Iraq and the region." The Saudi foreign minister arrived in Baghdad Saturday on an unannounced visit is the first of its kind in decades.
