[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leading figure within the Iraqiya Coalition, the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg called to ratify the general amnesty law to release the innocent detainees.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office quoted Mutleg as saying in his speech while attending a ceremony to commemorate martyrdom of Imam Ali on last Tuesday “We need today to follow example of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in his justice and fairness and punishing of criminals who shed the Iraqi blood every day, on other hands we should pay attention to the innocents inside the jails.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“Despite the repeated security breaches and the escape of prisoners from Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons, but we cannot negate the presence of a large number of innocent detainees in the prisons who aspire for their release and issuance of a general amnesty law,” he stressed.[/ltr]
