Ammar al - Hakim in Cairo .. A prospective meeting with Sisi
CAIRO, April 18 (KUNA) - The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, and an accompanying delegation arrived in Cairo to meet Egyptian officials, headed by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, according to a security source. The security source at Cairo International Airport, preferring not to be named because he is not authorized to declare the media, said that "Hakim arrived in Cairo on a private plane coming from Baghdad on a visit (indefinite period) to meet with President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and Foreign Minister Samah Shukri." In an earlier press statement, Ambassador Habib al-Sadr told the Iraqi ambassador to Cairo that Ammar al-Hakim will visit Cairo at an official invitation and will meet with his accompanying delegation with President al-Sisi and the two heads of ministers Sharif Ismail and MPs Ali Abdel-Al. Hakim's visit comes as part of an Arab tour to visit Egypt and a number of Arab Maghreb countries, according to the Iraqi ambassador. Mohammad Abu Kallal, a representative of the Iraqi National Alliance, said the visit was "very important in its timing and its causes." Abu Kallal said in a press statement that "Hakim's visit to Egypt comes within the framework of consultation with the brothers in Egypt in the interest of the two brotherly countries, and will also briefed al-Hakim al-Sisi on the latest developments in the political and military situation on the Iraqi arena." Abu Sallam pointed out that "Sisi and Hakim will discuss a number of regional files of common interest." Hakim was due to visit Egypt in December, but the visit was postponed for reasons that were not announced at the time. Finished
