Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that his country wants to remove nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula and that it will continue its efforts to resume talks among the parties concerned in this regard.
Wang Yi, who is visiting Greece to participate in the International Forum of Ancient Civilizations, made the remarks when asked about North Korea's nuclear arsenal.
"We want the voices of peace and logic, China will not shake words and will continue to play its role," he said.
Wang met his Greek counterpart Nikos Kozizas on Sunday.
North Korea has always threatened to destroy Japan, South Korea and the United States, and has shown no decline in its hostility after a failed missile test, boasting a large number of missiles during a military parade in the capital Pyongyang.
