The Wall Street Journal: The Pentagon plans to increase the US military presence in Asia

According to the newspaper The Wall Street Journal , that the Pentagon has prepared a plan to guide the investment of about $ 8 billion in order to increase the presence of US forces in the area of Asia and the Pacific .
The newspaper reported that the United States can increase its military presence in this region by modernizing military infrastructure, and conduct additional exercises, as well as the deployment of more troops and ships there, but the US administration is still in the process of preparing its policy towards Asia.

It should be noted that James Mattis , US Secretary of Defense, and Gary Harris , commander of the forces Navy of America in the Pacific Ocean, as well as other US lawmakers expressed support for the plan proposed by John McCain , the US senator earlier called "initiative to achieve stability in the Asia, Pacific ", but they did not provide any clarification on how to obtain funds for the implementation of the plan.
The Trump administration demanded earlier to increase military expenditures in the current fiscal year, as expressed its intention to increase it $ 54 billion in the next fiscal year.
