IMF improves the outlook for the Russian economy

Hassan International Monetary Fund forecasts for the performance of the Russian economy this year, with expected growth of 1.4% on an annual basis.
The IMF said that the conduct of the financial situation and high oil prices will contribute to the growth of the economy in Russia. The International Fund stressed in his report that Russia has graduated from a two-year period of recession thanks to the adoption of effective government policies and enjoy the country's strong reserves.
The IMF projected in October / October that the Russian economy will grow by 1.1% this year. But the fund warned that the prospects for the Russian economy remains weak, the expected growth of the Russian economy in the long term by 1.5%.
Preliminary estimates issued by the Russian Statistics Authority "Rosstat" showed that the Russian economy grew in the first quarter of this year by 0.5% on an annual basis, in the fourth quarter of last year recorded an increase of 0.3%.
