The Group of Seven industrialists expressed their readiness to tighten sanctions against Russia if the latter continued to "default implementation of the Minsk agreements" for settlement in Ukraine.
"We may lift sanctions on Moscow if it fulfills its obligations, but we are nevertheless prepared to impose additional restrictions on relations with Russia and increase the cost of its positions if necessary," the leaders of the group wrote in their final statement.
At the end of the statement, the Group expressed its readiness to cooperate with Russia in order to serve to resolve regional crises.
The Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano said today that the "Seven Industrial" has recognized the need for dialogue with Moscow to resolve international crises and adopt unified responses to meet the challenges of the stage.
He said: "The seven" industrialized "countries recognized the need for dialogue with Moscow and cooperation with them in the formulation of solutions to resolve international crises and confront contemporary challenges, foremost of which is terrorism.
"But this necessity does not require reducing the pressure on Russia to shoulder its responsibilities in the framework of the Ukrainian crisis, which forced the Group of Seven industrialized countries to impose a package of restrictions on relations with Moscow in various forums.
He continued: "The lifting of the European sanctions imposed on Russia under the application of Moscow Minsk agreements, and this is what guided Italy when the issue of sanctions."
