    Egypt receives $ 1.25 billion from the International Monetary Fund

     

    Egypt received the second installment of the first tranche of $ 1.25 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund, said the source told the "Middle East News".

    It quoted the government agency, an official source at the Central Bank of Egypt, the second installment will support the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, has already entered the bank.

    The net foreign reserves of the Egyptian, rose slightly to 31.305 billion dollars , the end of last June, compared to $ 31.125 billion in May by 0.5%.

    Egypt got the first installment worth $ 2.75 billion on November 11 , 2016 after nearly a week of editing the pound exchange rate (November 3, 2016).

    The International Monetary Fund agreed to grant Egypt a loan of $ 12 billion, last November, spent on segments in order to help Cairo in the implementation of an economic reform program.

    Thus, the total received by Egypt from the Fund loan , which will be spent over three years, about $ 4 billion up.

    For his part, predicted Egyptian Finance Minister, Amr Garhi, on Monday, his country for the third installment of the loan worth two billion dollars, the end of this year or early next year.
