Agriculture reveals close signature of Iraq and Saudi Arabia Memorandum of Understanding to achieve Arab food security
The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday that Iraq and Saudi Arabia will sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of agriculture to achieve Arab food security, adding that the Saudi Agriculture Minister will visit Baghdad in the coming days.
"An Iraqi delegation headed by agriculture minister Falah Hassan Zaidan recently visited Saudi Arabia and agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in the agricultural field to develop relations and investment in this area," Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mehdi al-Qaisi said. Exchange of human, financial and material resources, which will positively affect both countries. "
He explained that "an upcoming visit will be for Saudi Minister Abdul Rahman al-Fadhli to the capital Baghdad to develop relations in agriculture," adding that "the memorandum of understanding is the first to be signed between Iraq and Saudi Arabia in the agricultural sector."
He pointed out that "the memorandum of understanding will develop cooperation in achieving Arab food security, which will be reflected positively on Iraq," noting that "the memorandum will make use of the experiences of Saudi Arabia in the agricultural field."
