    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday (April 27, 2024), that Iraq is working on drawing future visions regarding the green and digital economic sectors.
    Al-Sudani said in his speech during the Arab Labor Conference in its fiftieth session, which was followed by “Baghdad Today”, that “the government has launched in this regard many strategies and initiatives that will improve the reality of work and workers, the forefront of which is the “National Strategy to Reduce and Prevent Inequalities in the World of Work.” For the years (two thousand and twenty-four - two thousand and twenty-eight).”
    He added, "This is a pioneering strategy that was developed in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, as well as employment and development initiatives for various categories, most notably the Riyada initiative, which we launched out of our belief in the importance of qualifying young people and introducing them to the labor market, especially since this category represents sixty percent of our society." .

    The Prime Minister pointed out that “Riyadah is the backbone of the labor movement, in addition to the fact that we established the Iraq Fund for Development with huge capital in order to create an investment environment that provides thousands of job opportunities,” indicating that “if fears of artificial intelligence controlling labor markets and displacing... The human element, we are confident that the Director-General’s report will receive attention and enrich the contents, which we urgently need to translate into public and sectoral programs and activities.”
    He continued, "The success of the Baghdad conference depends on the seriousness of the participation of the organizations of the three production parties and on social dialogue," stressing that "the government has provided all the reasons to ensure the distinction of this conference, to produce recommendations, decisions, positive ideas, and support for the organization."

    He explained, "The government is working to draw future visions regarding new economic sectors, such as the green economy, the digital economy, the knowledge economy, and the blue economy, that is, bodies of water, rivers, etc.," pointing out that "we look forward to building a modern business institution, in a way that achieves a qualitative shift in performance, legislation, and oversight." Labor inspection, occupational health and safety, and addressing the phenomenon of new work patterns in a humanitarian spirit consistent with the goals of sustainable development.”
    He continued: "From here, we launched the Development Road Project, which represents the first project of its kind. It will provide many job opportunities through the industries that will be localized in the areas through which it passes, and they are all projects attached to this project."
