The Kuwait Fund for Development (KFAED) on Sunday granted $ 100 million to Iraq to improve the health situation in war-affected areas.

Fund President Mustafa Al-Hiti signed a framework agreement with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (GAFD) Ghanim Al-Ghunaiman to manage Kuwait's grant to support the health sector in the areas affected by a $ 100 million boost.

"Kuwait Fund for Development has already granted Iraq $ 21 million to support the industrial and electricity sectors in the affected areas," the statement said.

Earlier, media reports said the emir had earlier confirmed his support for an international donor conference to rebuild the affected areas in September.
