Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Legal Parliamentary Committee, Ameer al-Kinani, assured “There are four Articles within the Elections Law that are still pending.”
He stated to IraqiNews.com “The first disputed point is the electoral constituency where some sides want to consider Iraq as one electoral constituency while some others calls to have multiple constituencies.”
“The second point is the way of distributing the seats while the third is related to the women quota and the fourth is related to the minorities,” he added.
“There is an intention to delay the endorsement of this law to extend the term of the government,” he concluded.
