    [ltr]The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the Union of Arab Journalists Muayad al-Lami announced on Saturday the creation of a new pension law under which the retired journalist will receive one million dinars a month.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We are working on preparing for the formation of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ)," said Mr. Al-Lami, head of the International Federation of Journalists in the Middle East, Munir Zaarour and a number of heads of media organizations in Iraq. A new retirement law under which the retired journalist will receive one million dinars a month. "He added that" a training program for teaching staff in European universities will also be set up. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, Secretary General of the International Federation of Journalists Anthony Blange, "the pursuit of an integrated program of occupational safety for Iraqi journalists," stressing that "Iraqi journalists are exposed to serious risk of their coverage of serious events."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"More than 3,000 journalists have been killed in different events in the world, and Iraq is the most country with the number of dead journalists," Anthony said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]During the seminar, the dialogue was held to support the professional safety of Iraqi journalists and to prepare a program to protect them through training and rehabilitation[/ltr]
