The Iraqi government announced on Wednesday that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi held a meeting of the Higher Committee of the agricultural initiative.
In a statement, the government said that the committee discussed the projects of the Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources and the required financial allocations, in addition to maintaining the continuity of agricultural loan projects, water situation, irrigation plan and financial needs.
The statement added that the committee decided that the Ministry of Finance will implement the provisions of the law of the concessional agricultural lending fund No. 28 for the year 2009 and the amounts allocated to the specialized lending funds for the agricultural initiative and the recovered funds, as well as the amounts of loans disbursed in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of marshes canceled to the capital of the soft agricultural lending fund .
The Committee also decided to allocate the necessary funds to the Agricultural Mechanization Fund from the refunds to pay the amounts collected and imported to the Ministries of Agriculture and Industry and covered by loans agricultural initiative, which was imported until 31-12-2015.
The rate of recovery of agricultural initiative loans was also discussed and a number of directives and decisions were discussed and issued, according to the statement.
