    01/11/2013 / Tomorrow Press / Baghdad: Parliamentary Finance Committee announced Friday, that the issue of debt owed by Iraq marred by a lot of complications and that the Commission does not know the real amount of this debt.

    Committee member said Najiba Najib for "tomorrow's Press," that "the Commission opened this topic more than once, but the Ministry of Finance and Planning has not yet given us the true figures and entities that Iraq owes them financially."

    Noting that "the figures that the Commission indicate that the debt owed by Iraq exceeds $ 38 billion, but these figures as the old Iraq pays annually in accordance with agreements concluded between him and the United Nations."

    She added that "the Iraqi debt centered in four sections Paris Club debt that has been deleted vast debt which in addition to the Gulf war and the Iran-Iraq war in Kuwait in addition to trade creditors and there are also countries but outside the Paris Club debts on Iraq."

    He confirmed that "the Paris Club canceled up to 80% of its debt in the past on Iraq, according to Iraqi diplomacy."

    And Iraq suffered heavy losses in commercial transactions and binding contracts with the States by the war of eighty and ninety commissioned by contracting companies also losses and having to leave work inside Iraq in a timely manner.
