[ltr]Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Sunday telephoned the representative of the supreme religious authority Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai, to check on his health after the attempted failed attack.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi made a telephone call to the representative of the supreme religious authority Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai," the media office of Abadi said in a statement received by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
[ltr]The office added that "this comes after the attempt of the unfortunate attack during a sermon and prayer last Friday to check on his health and wish him continued health and safety."[/ltr]
[ltr]The director of the office of Abdul-Mahdi Karbalai representative of the Supreme Religious Reference revealed a day after the Friday prayer for Karbalai suffered a failed attempt to attack while reading the first sermon last Friday, indicating that the attack by one associated with some deviant parties.[/ltr]
