Jared Kouchner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump and his chief adviser, has had access to classified information at the White House.
Kouchner's husband, Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter and adviser of the president, is particularly charged with the Middle East peace process and until today has been privy to confidential information and documents at the White House, although he has only a temporary security permit.
But the White House decided to review the procedures after it was found that another adviser worked closely with Trump in the Oval Office for months without having a full security clearance.
The consultant, Rob Porter, had daily access to the Oval Office and was briefed on classified documents before finally being forced to step down from office after being accused of beating his two former wives.
As a result, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly ordered restrictions on temporary security statements.
Commenting on the sources reported that Kouchner was denied the right to access the information is very confidential, Kelly's office only reminded that the White House chief of staff last week issued a statement reaffirming his confidence in smothering the president, without further details, according to "AFP."
"As I said to Gareed a few days ago, I have full confidence in his ability to carry out the tasks assigned to him in terms of foreign policy, especially our efforts in the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations and the question of our relations with Mexico," Kelly said.
