Lavrov: Astana meetings proved effective and contributed to the preparation of a political settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed the importance of Astana's meetings on Syria, pointing out that it proved its effectiveness and contributed to the prelude to a political settlement.
Lavrov said at a meeting of foreign ministers of the countries sponsoring the truce in Syria that the outcome of the talks on the Syrian settlement through the platform of Astana does not have the support of those who want to divide Syria into states and Emirates.
