What do Iraqis want from the new parliament?

Since the early hours of Saturday morning, large numbers of Iraqis have begun to go to polling stations to elect a new parliament, amid intermittent showers of rain, seeking many demands and aspirations from the new parliament.
Seven thousand candidates compete for 329 parliamentary seats, including 2014 women, and by voting for the first time in Iraq, which means that polling hours can not be extended, in conjunction with the closure of airports and ports to support the electoral process.
Ninety-nine seats were allocated to minorities, and women had 83 seats. The open-list system was adopted, and if more than one candidate was voted on, the ballot was invalid.
Many of the voters who voted for the vote cast their votes. "We want change for the better," he said. "We hope young people will serve their country."
Voters want to "provide water and services and paving streets and provide security," warning of "the return of murder and displacement and the theft of Iraq's money," as they put it.
