    The Union of Iraqi Industries, on Sunday, anticipation of the decision of the Council of Ministers to apply the protection of local product, noting that it will reflect positively on the Iraqi industry.
    "The recent decision of the Council of Ministers, which pointed out the need to protect a number of local products, will be an impetus to strengthen and support the Iraqi industry," Ali Sabeeh, head of the union, told Al-Ittihad News.
    He added that "there are many products can be secured from Iraqi factories and highly efficient," noting that "the Council of Ministers wanted to support these products, but so far we look forward to the implementation of the resolution and how it can help support the Iraqi industry."
    Sobeih pointed to the presence of "many factories waiting for such a decision to spin the wheel of production to keep the Iraqi market in production and contribute to economic growth."
    The cabinet voted in its regular session on June 5 to protect the local product.
