The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, met Tuesday with the judges assigned to the Board of Commissioners and Office Managers in the Independent High Electoral Commission.
The spokesman of the Council Judge Abdul Sattar Birekdar, in a statement received / Mawazine News / a copy of it, "The President of the Supreme Judicial Council discussed with the judges assigned to the functions of the Board of Commissioners and directors of offices in the Electoral Commission for elections mechanisms to implement the Third Amendment Law of the Law of Elections of the House of Representatives No. (45) for the year 2013 amended.
"The meeting focused on the high emphasis of the Judicial Council on the application of the Third Amendment Law to the Electoral Law No. (45) for the year 2013 amended professionally and transparent, which brings justice and tranquility among all Iraqis."
The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Monday the nomination of a president and a deputy of the Commission of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission.
On Sunday (June 10, 2018), the judges assigned the functions of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission, based on the third amendment to the election law issued by the Iraqi Parliament last week.[/ltr]
