Assad reveals his army received support for "Iraqi resistance"[/size]

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday confirmed the existence of Iraqi resistance that supported his army in the battles against armed groups in his country.
"There are Syrian brothers in the Lebanese resistance and others who came from Iraq," Assad said in an interview with Iran's Al-Alam television.
He added that his country "considers them the same weight as any resistance coming from any other country, as well as the families of the resistance from Iran who came and also provided blood in Syria."
Assad stressed that "all these must be put in a basket together with the martyrs and the wounded and the Syrian fighters and their families, all of these if we want to collect letters and words and sentences and all literature, does not equal one drop of blood," he said.
