The group of people who belong to the factions of the popular crowd on Saturday expressed their position on the decisions of President Donald Trump and his sanctions against Iran, pointing out that it will not be binding on all Iraqi parties, especially the next Iraqi government.
"We are surprised by the statement of Abbadi, and many of Trump's decisions are not committed by all the Iraqi parties, and even the next government," spokesman Hashim al-Moussawi told Asharq Al-Awsat.
"One of the conditions for choosing any prime minister is not to stick to one axis without another, to work for the evacuation of all foreign forces from the country and to strengthen Iraq's sovereignty," he said.
"We do not know why Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi rushed to declare Iraq's position on the sanctions despite the fact that many countries are still making indirect statements in this issue," he said. Will not abide by these resolutions, which were not issued by the Security Council. "
