Opening of the Fourth Eastern Economic Forum in Russia

Leaders and business leaders from around the world gathered in Vladivostok, a coastal city in Russia's Far East, to attend the Fourth Eastern Economic Forum, which opened on Tuesday.
The three-day event, entitled "Far East Expanding Potential," attracted thousands of people from more than 60 countries.
Participants will share their ideas on topics of international cooperation in Far East development, industry priorities in the Far East, investor support tools and measures to improve living conditions.
There will also be cultural, sports and educational programs at the Forum.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Eastern Economic Forum this year at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This will be the first time that the Chinese president has participated in the event.
The annual East Economic Forum, founded by Boeten in 2015, is an important platform for direct dialogue between politicians, business executives and experts for Far East development and regional cooperation.[/rtl]
