Former Jordanian MP: 75% of Iraqi goods were exempted from taxes in Jordan

Former Jordanian MP Mahmoud al-Kharabsheh revealed on Thursday that 75 percent of Iraqi goods were exempted from taxes in Jordan, pointing out that Jordan's relations with Iraq came back to life after its victory over "Khawarj the time is urging."
"Our openness to Iraq is a source of happiness for all Jordanians," Kharabsheh said in a televised statement. "The Jordanian King's visit to Iraq revived relations between the two countries and the relationship with Iraq returned to life after its victory over Khawraj.
He added that "Jordan's position on Iraq is stable and the Jordanian people are keen on Iraq. The nature of the Jordanian relationship with Iraq is not linked to political engagement, especially as there are common interests and visions linking Iraq with Jordan."
"Iraq is a deep and fertile ground for Jordan, and the cost of producing Iraq's oil pipeline via Aqaba is 17 billion dollars," he said.
"The Jordanian prime minister will not allow Iraqi national security to be harmed through Jordan and will not allow the establishment of conferences that harm Iraq," he said. End 25 n
